Sag resistant, flexible, cement-based thin set mortar for interior and exterior ceramic and quarry tile installations, porcelain stoneware, porcelain and glass mosaic, clinker and brick tile over load bearing substrates such as in situ concrete (at least 6 months old) and gypsum fiber board, sheet rock, heated screed (please follow corresponding regulations and data sheets), poured mastic asphalt, autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) as well as balconies and patios.
The substrate must be ready for installation, dry, clean and load bearing. If installation occurs on shrinking substrates frequent expansion joints should be included in the layout. Prime absorbent substrates in interior areas with Okatmos® GG or Okatmos® UG 30. Allow a drying time of at least 24 hours over calcium sulfate screed. For layers thicker than 5 mm on calcium sulfate screed, prime with Okamul PU-V schnell or Okapox GF. The maximum layer thickness on mastic screed is 5 mm (A¼"). Prime non-absorbent substrates with Okatmos® UG 30 and clean prior with a suitable basic cleaner. In exterior areas apply a contact layer of adhesive mortar and let it set. If installing over existing tiles use waterproofing membrane such as: Servoflex DMS 1K Plus SuperTec.
Mix ServoStar® 2000 Plus Flex clean, cool water to a smooth texture. Allow mixture to slake for approx. 5 minutes and stir again. Apply ServoStar® 2000 Plus Flex with a required size trowels (see the table) onto the substrate, slide in the covering material within 30 minutes and press tightly. When installing large format tile on exterior applications back-buttering method must be present.
