Okatmos® star 200
Wet and pressure sensitive adhesive
- short wating time
- long curing time
- universally applicable
- easy trowable
- anti-microbial properties

Solvent-free, very low-emission wet- and pressure-sensitive adhesive for bonding homogeneous and heterogeneous Vinyl-coverings such as sheet and tile format, CV-coverings, LVT-coverings, rubber flooring up to 4.0 mm in sheet and tile format, linoleum up to 3.2 mm and textile floor coverings. Okatmos® star 200 can be used as a wet-bed and pressure-sensitive adhesive as well as in the contact bonding process (double-drop). With its hygienising effect, Okatmos® star 200 helps to avoid odours.
The substrate must be inspected and ready for installation in accordance with the respective regulations of the individual countries as well as the current state of technology. Substrates must be pre-treated in accordance with the current BEB datasheet ('Evaluation and Preparation of Substrates').
Depending on the type of substrate, floor coverings and the requirements such as subsequent loading conditions prime substrate with: Okatmos® EG 20, Okatmos® UG 30, Okatmos® DSG, Okamul PU-V schnell or Okapox GF and prepare with suitable Kiesel levelling compound. When installing vapor-tight floor coverings as well as over non-absorbent substrates, apply the levelling compound thick enough. The technical data sheets of the products used must be observed. Kiesel system products must be used.
Stir Okatmos® star 200 well. Use appropriate notched trowel to apply the adhesive onto the substrate. Depending on the quantity applied, the absorbency of the substrate and the type of covering, allow the adhesive to dry. Only apply as much adhesive as can be covered with floor covering within the open time.
On non-absorbent substrates, you can only achieve a pressure sensitive adhesion.
After the waiting time, install the covering without air pockets and carefully rub down over the entire surface. If the covering starts to rise again after being rubbed down, do not rub it down again until approx. 30 minutes have passed. The installation instructions of the flooring manufacturer, especially the instructions for acclimatisation, must be followed.
Weld or seal the floor coverings after 24 hours at the earliest.

- The floor coverings must be sufficiently free of tension, acclimatized, and must be adapted to the ambient room conditions prevailing in its subsequent use. Observe the relevant advice and information given by the floor covering manufacturers.
- Areas of flooring subject to strong roll tension, raised edges or warps, creases formed from folding or squashing must be weighed down during the installation until the adhesive has set.
- If exposed to strong temperatures, e.g. sunlight in a conservatory or on window fronts, if subjected to heavy mechanical stress from floor trucks or fork lifts etc., or if exposed to moisture from above, the use of Okamul PU would be preferable or seek application-technical advice.
- In case of standard floor covering, follow guidelines which generally accept rules of the subject and installation techniques, as well as the current standards and information sheets.
