Solvent- and water-free, low-viscosity epoxy primer consisting of two components for pre-treatment of absorbent and non-absorbent substrates before trowelling and installation work. Okapox SPG can be used as a moisture barrier for blocking residual moisture from cementitious substrates (prior to the laying of elastic / textile coverings and parquet) and as a binder for the production of epoxy resin mortars.
The substrate must be tested and laid in accordance with VOB Part C, DIN 18 352, DIN 18 356 and DIN 18 365 as well as the state of the art. Undertake pre-treatment according to the latest leaflet BEB "Assessment and preparation of substrates" or leaflet TKB-8.
Completely allow the hardener liquid component B from the plastic canister to flow into component A located in the laminate. Mix the two components intensively with an electric mixer until the mixture is free of streaks, repot and stir again.
As a primer:
Apply Okapox SPG with the lambskin roller evenly on the substrate. Subsequently, spread with fire-dried quartz sand (grain size 0.6-1.2 mm) within the wet phase or immediately after curing (within 48 hours), apply Okatmos® EG 20 / Okatmos® UG 30 as an adhesion promoter.
As a moisture brake:
Okapox SPG is used as a dampening brake for blocking residual moisture up to max. 7.0% by weight for concrete substrates and 5.0% CM for cement screeds. 1. Apply Okapox SPG uniformly with the lampholder roll. After curing of the primer (approx. 12 hours), the second application in the cloister is also done with Okapox SPG. Afterwards, spread the surplus surface with quartz sand of the grain size 0.6-1.2 mm (quartz sand consumption approx. 2.5 kg / m²) or immediately after curing (within 48 hours) Okatmos® EG 20 / Okatmos® UG 30 as adhesion promoter Pur.
When using as an epoxy resin mortar mix Okpox SPG homogeneously and add up to 6 kg of quartz sand (grain size 0.6-1.2 mm) per kg of Okapox SPG.
As a primer for the protection of moisture-sensitive substrates:
Apply an application from Okapox SPG for calcium sulfate screeds and apply Okatmos® EG 20 / Okatmos® UG 30 as an adhesion promoter after curing (within 48 hours)
