Solvent-free epoxy resin joint and adhesive mortar in sand, white and 10 other shades, for the highly demand-ing and acid-resistant laying and grouting of ceramic tiles, corresponding natural stone coverings and glass mosaics, in acidic constructions and in swimming pools and therapy pools. Okapox royal can be used as an adhesive mortar on substrates made of minerals, steel, wood and similar materials.
Okapox royal complies with EN 12004 R2T, is stable for laying on floor surfaces, and can be easily slurried and washed off as grout. The 2-component material in the base colour sand (Item No. 14231) in the 2 kg con-tainer can be coloured by a paste-like colour component in 5 current shades (according to the colour chart). Okapox royal has a uniform colour throughout, and supports the refined effect of the coating.

Installation:
The substrate must be dry, clean and stable. Chipboard or other drywall substructures must be mounted so that they are free from torsion, vibration and warping. Prime the substrate with Okatmos® UG 30, Okatmos® DSG or Okapox GF.

Grouting:
The tiles and tile edges must be clean and dry. Thoroughly clean the joints to be filled and remove loose parts.
Check that the covering materials - especially the covering surfaces - are suitable, and observe the regula-tions of the covering manufacturer. For a uniform joint, only use material from the same batch. The grouting mortar must be dry before use. Surfaces laid in a thin-bed process should be grouted after 24 hours at the earliest.

When covering the entire surface, apply the adhesive mortar to the substrate using the appropriate notched spatula (see table), push the covering material into the adhesive bed, and press it down. The combined method (buttering-floating) must be used for highly stressed coverings and outdoor areas.
Homogeneously mix component A and component B with an electric stirrer. Then transfer to another pot, and mix thoroughly again.
For grouting, slurry the grouting mortar and apply it to the joints parallel to the tiles using the special grouting disc of the epoxy resin grouting mortar, and remove excess diagonally. For large areas, it is advisable to use pointing machines (e.g. Karl Dahm KD 5). Emulsify excess mass with a little water and a special pad within approx. 50 minutes, and wash off using a viscose sponge or sponge board. To emulsify, use the wash-ing agent Okamul WH Plus diluted with water in a ratio of 1:9, or spray onto the grouted surface with an at-omiser. Protect surrounding surfaces. Non-slip or slip-resistant ceramic coverings are rationally grouted with a spray gun.
Remaining layers of resin can be removed after 16 hours at the earliest, but within 24 hours, with the washing agent Okamul WH Plus - either in its undiluted form, or diluted with water in a ratio of 1:1.
To accelerate the reaction time, and to shorten the waiting time, 1 container (300 g) of Okapox Accelerator can be added per 5 kg of Okapox royal. This reduces the reaction time to approx. 3.5 - 4.0 hours.
