Versatile, 2-component epoxy resin for force-fit closing of cracks and joints in screeds and concrete, as a primer for pretreating absorbent and non-absorbent substrates before filling and installation work. Okapox GF-M offers a water vapour diffusion resistance (sd value) of 200 m at a layer thickness of 0.5 mm and can be used as a moisture barrier1).

Okapox GF-M is also suitable as a binder for the production of epoxy resin mortars.

The substrate must be inspected and ready for installation in accordance with the respective regulations of the individual countries as well as the current state of technology. Substrates must be pre-treated in accordance with the current BEB datasheet ('Evaluation and Preparation of Substrates').

Depending on the type of substrate, floor coverings and the requirements such as subsequent loading conditions, prepare substrate for laying using suitable Kiesel primers/pre-coats and self-leveling compounds. With non-absorptive substrates, apply a Kiesel leveling or patching compound to a minimum thickness of 2 mm. Technical datasheets of other Kiesel products used, must also be complied with. A system structure must be ensured.

Using a screw driver to pierce the bottom of the lid container several times. Let the entire hardening liquid flow into the lower container. Remove the completely empty container and mix the two components thoroughly with an electric stirrer until the mixture is free of streaks. Repot and stir again.

As crack and joint resin:
The parts to be glued must be dry, clean and free of grease. Enlarge screed cracks so that the grouting can flow in. In addition cut into 2/3 of the screed layer perpendicular to the crack every 3" to 1 ft. (10 -30 cm) with a cutting disc, vacuum, set a steel spike or screed repair clamp, fill with Okapox GF-M resin and scatter quartz sand on fresh surface immediately. Alternatively priming within 48 hours with Okatmos® UG 30 / Okatmos® EG 20 (undiluted).

As primer:
Apply Okapox GF-M evenly onto surface with a lambskin roller. Scatter a fair amount of quartz sand (0.6 - 1.2 mm grain) onto the fresh surface (coverage approx. 2.5 kg/m²). Alternatively priming within 48 hours with Okatmos® UG 30 / Okatmos® EG 20 (undiluted).

As epoxy resin mortar:
Mix Okapox GF-M to a homogenous consistency and add up to 3 kg - 3.5 kg quartz sand (0.6- 1.2 mm grain). To fill holes prime the edges first with pure Okapox GF-M and fill wet in wet with mortar.
