Resin bonded, stable and high-density, approximately 4 mm thin, synthetic fiber board for isolation and sound deadening installation requirements under suitable resilient, textile floor coverings and parquet interior only. As insulating board in renovation and poorly insulated surfaces in old and new buildings. Increase the living and walking comfort at minimum height.
The surface must be dry, clean and load bearing ready. Suitable over concrete, screed, chipboard screw-V 100 (OSB-3, OSB construction), wood flooring, stone, steel, and ceramic tiles.
Level uneven substrates with Servofix - Servoplan - or Servoalpha self-levelling compound
Use Servoplan S 444 over dimensionally unstable substrates (e.g. particle board V 100). The respective substrates should be primed accordingly with Okatmos ® EG 20, Okamul HD 11 or wood with Servofix RSG, Okatmos ® EG 20, Okatmos ® UG 30, Okamul PU-V quickly or Okapox GF.
Loose lay Okaphone 4 boards in a staggered formation (avoid cross joints). Cut boards with circular saw, jig saw or utility knife. Then remove plates from the center and use Bakit PU-P or Bakit EK new with a notched trowel TKB B15. Lay the board within 15-20 minutes and press down firmly. Place adequate weight if a tension is forming between installed boards.
Use expansion seal gasket around the entire wall perimeter or any areas directly exposed to Okaphone 4. Cut the excess of seal gasket only when the job is completed. To avoid sound transfer through the joints of Okaphone 4 use Oka Cryl to seal any cavities.
Installation of resilient and textile coverings:
After adhesive is completely dry use Servoplan S 444 over the board and pour it in the thickness of 3-5 mm. Subsequently use Kiesel Okatmos adhesive to install desired covering.
Installation of hardwood and engineered flooring:
Use Bakit PU-P or Bakit EK new to install hardwood or engineered wood over Okaphone 4 once the adhesive underneath the board is fully dry.
When installing hardwood without tongue and grove follow diagonal installation of material against the board.

The impact sound reduction properties have been determined by the authorized testing laboratory. These values cannot be transferred to other projects, as there might be other ceiling structures. To determine the impact noise levels, a sample installation must be done. The information is based on experience and is intended as general guidance.
