Solvent-free and anhydrous, very low emission, 1-component polyurethane based pre-coating for absorbent and non-absorbent substrates before filling, leveling and installation work
- before laying ceramic and natural stone coverings on load-bearing substrates
- for strengthening labile, damaged screed surfaces
- as a moisture barrier to block off residual moisture up to max. 4.0 CM % (90% rH) on cement-bonded, moisture-resistant substrates before laying elastic and textile surfaces as well as parquet
- as a pre-coating before laying parquet with Kiesel Bakit parquet adhesives as well as ceramic tiles and natural stone with Okamul PU-K or Kiesel tile adhesives
- as a pre-coating on critical, old screeds and residues of adhesive layers (e.g. spent sulphite lye, bitumen)
- for protecting moisture-sensitive substrates such as e.g. calcium sulphate screeds, chipboard, OSB sheets and gypsum bonded dry screed elements prior to moisture penetration from leveling compunds and tile adhesives
- as a pre-coating prior to subsequent filling and leveling work with Servoplan, Servofix screeds and leveling compounds (Servoalpha only under textile and elastic surfaces) together with the pre-coating Okatmos® EG 20 / Okatmos® UG 30.
The substrate must be inspected and ready for installation in accordance with the respective regulations of the individual countries as well as the current state of technology.
Depending on the type of substrate, floor coverings and the requirements such as subsequent loading conditions, prepare substrate for laying using suitable Kiesel primers/pre-coats and self-leveling compounds. With non-absorptive substrates, apply a Kiesel leveling or patching compound to a minimum thickness of 2 mm. Technical datasheets of other Kiesel products used, must also be complied with. A system structure must be ensured.
Bring Okamul PU-V schnell to room temperature and shake or stir well before use.
Always apply the pre-coating evenly and over the entire surface using a velour roller or foam roller, avoiding puddles and/or thick layers. Each layer must be completely cured to form a thin, closed film. In general, the individual layers or further work steps must be carried out within 48 hours.
As a pre-coating before filling and laying work:
For absorbent substrates apply the second coat with Okamul PU-V schnell immediately after the first layer has cured (about 50 minutes). Then sprinkle the fresh surface in excess with quartz sand with grain size 0.3 - 0.8 mm or, after the first layer is cured immediately apply Okatmos® UG 30 / Okatmos® EG 20 as an adhesion promoter.
On non-absorbent substrates, only one application of Okamul PU-V schnell in combination with quartz sand sprinkling or Okatmos® UG 30 / Okatmos® EG 20 is required.
Use as a moisture barrier on moisture-resistant surfaces:
Residual moisture: up to 3 CM-% (85% rH) = 2 layers, up to 4 CM-% (90% rH) = 3 layers
Ceramic or natural stone surfaces can be laid within 48 hours, even without sanding. In the case of longer waiting times apply Okatmos® UG 30 / Okatmos® EG 20 within 48 hours to promote bonding.
As a primer for the protection of moisture-sensitive substrates:
As with e.g. calcium sulphate screeds, apply one coat of Okamul PU-V schnell and after curing (about 50 minutes) apply Okatmos® UG 30 / Okatmos® EG 20 to promote bonding. This especially when laying ceramic surfaces with an expected adhesive bed thickness of >5 mm or for filling work with layer thickness >10 mm.

At 68°FC (+20°) and 65% relative humidity. Higher temperature and low humidity decreases, lower temperature and high humidity increase this value respectively.
Only for commercial use.
Please refer to the safety data sheet for further information.
Please note:
In the case of unfavourable climatic conditions (low temperatures and relative humidity <40%), a longer curing time of at least 3 hours before the bonding of parquet must be observed. As of august 2023, appopriate training must be provided prior to industrial or commercial use.
