Okamul DF

Ready to use, solvent-free, flexible waterproofing and crack isolation membrane
system for substrates in moist and wet areas under ceramic tile on interior walls and floors including bathrooms without floor drain with shower basin or tub, showers without shower basin and sanitary rooms in public and industrial areas with floor drain. Depending on the humidity protection category substrates such as sheet-rock (DIN 18 163), gypsum plaster-board and gypsum fiber-board (DIN 4166), plaster (DIN 18 550 part 1 + 2) of mortar types II + III, masonry, (DIN 1053), concrete (DIN 1045), autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) building units (DIN 4166), light-weight concrete walls (DIN 18 148) or cement and poured mastic asphalt screed (DIN 18 560) are suitable.
Okamul DF meets the requirements indicated in the data sheet issued by the
association of the German tile trade on "Waterproofing Procedures". Please follow these directions.

The substrate must be dry, clean, load bearing and appropriate for wet areas. Prime absorbent substrates with Okatmos® GGS or Okatmos® UG 30. Prime non-absorbent substrates with Okatmos® UG 30.
Apply Okamul DF with a paintbrush, roller or trowel. Dilute to a maximum of 0.5 % with water if necessary. In order to guarantee a secure seal, it is recommended to apply at least one more coat after the first application has dried. To avoid cracking in corners imbed sealing strips (Dichtband) and preshaped inside and outside corner sealers (Dichtecke innen/außen) and "Wall" and "Floor" seal sleeves (Dichtmanschette "Wand"/"Boden") around pipe openings and floor drains into the first application while wet.
All flexible tile and marble adhesives by company Kiesel can be used for installations over Okamul DF. If necessary, use Okamul DZ 18 additive for standard adhesives.
Earthenware tile installations with Okamul NKS may require a curing process of up to 7 days.
