Thin, waterproof sealing membrane that covers cracks made for sealing indoor walls and floors in combination with tiles and panels such as, e.g. bathrooms, shower rooms, restrooms, and areas subject to chemical loads such as, e.g. large kitchens. The Kiesel sealing membrane ensures a secure drainage level. The Kiesel sealing membrane is officially approved for producing composite seals in wet areas with moisture resistance classes A and C in line with the “test requirements for granting a general building inspectorate certificate for sealants in combination with tiled and panel surfaces”, part 2: Compound seals in sheet format.

When used in combination with the listed adhesive mortars it has a general building inspectorate certificate from the materials testing institute from TU Braunschweig.
Test number: P1200/432/15 MPA-BS.
All listed installation materials can be used for bonding the Kiesel sealing membrane as well as for laying the covering material.

•    ServoStar® 2000 Flex Plus
•    Servoflex-Trio-SuperTec
•    ServoStar® 4000 Flex
•    Servoflex K-Schnell SuperTec
•    Okapox (Okapox royal)

The subsurface must be dry, clean, load-bearing, ready for covering, and have fine pores on the surface. Sandblast or mark out areas, if required. Eliminate uneven areas such as holes, nests or cracks in a prior and separate process, e.g. using Servocret RS or Servocret RS-N. The flatness must be such that the Kiesel sealing membrane can be laid without creating any hollows. Precoat absorbent and non-absorbent subsurfaces with Okatmos® UG 30.

Cut the Kiesel sealing membrane to size using a pair of scissors or a cutter's knife before bonding. Evenly apply the thin-bed mortar, preferably Servoflex K-Schnell SuperTec, to the prepared subsurface using a 4 mm notched spatula (TKB C1) to the primed surface and immediately apply and press the Kiesel sealing membrane into position. Use a trowel to press down from the middle of the membrane and push away towards the edges so that any air bubbles beneath the membrane are removed. The membranes can either be touching, next to each other, or overlap by at least 5 cm. When bonding the Kiesel sealing membrane to a joint or bonding using an overlap, bond these with Servoflex DMS 1K Plus SuperTec using a 4 mm notched spatula (TKB C1) over the whole of its surface. In the corner area of the Kiesel sealing membrane or inner/outer sealing corners for sealing piping and drains use the "wall" and "ground" sealing collar as described previously and bond using Servoflex DMS 1K Plus SuperTec over its entire area without leaving cavities.

If the Kiesel sealing membrane is used in wear class C then the Kiesel sealing membrane, the overlaps on the sealing corners both inner/outer and the liner for the "wall" and the "floor" are bonded using Okapox in the manner described previously.
