EC1 Plus

Very low-emission, solvent- and silicone-free, 1-component adhesive with excellent ridge formation and good distribution for shear-resistant bonding of parquet according to DIN EN 14293 as well as DIN ISO 17178.

Suitable for various types of parquet such as mosaic parquet, strip parquet with tongue and groove, upright lamella parquet 10-23 mm, 10 mm solid wood lamella parquet, wood block RE/WE without traffic up to 25 mm, prefabricated parquet 2-, 3- and multi-layered in boards and planks, solid wood planks. Please consult with the Kiesel application technology department for exotic woods. Also suitable for cork floor coverings according to ISO 3813 or DIN EN 12104 as well as multi-layer cork floor coverings with MDF/HDF core layer and cork backing.

For bonding on cement screed, calcium sulphate (flowing) screed, V 100 E1 chipboard, OSB boards and on renovated substrates smoothed with suitable Kiesel screeds. For levelling and smoothing work prior to gluing wood blocks, the screeds Servoplan S 111 or Servoplan S 444 are to be used in thicknesses of min. 3.0 mm. The ingredients do not cause any discolouration. Prolonged drying times can occur if the adhesive comes into direct contact with oil products.

Bakit HPK can be processed on many substrates without priming. For wood types and installation patterns in which working of the wood is to be expected, we recommend priming the substrates with Okamul PU-V schnell.

The substrate must be inspected and ready for installation in accordance with the respective regulations of the individual countries as well as the current state of technology. Substrates must be pre-treated in accordance with the current BEB datasheet ('Evaluation and Preparation of Substrates') as well as with BEB datasheet TKB-8.

If necessary, prime substrates with Okamul PU-V schnell (setting time of at least 3 hours) and install within 48 hours. Prime newly applied and used mastic asphalt screeds of hardness class IC 10 or IC 15 with Okamul PU-V schnell (setting time of at least 3 hours) and lay within 48 hours.

On absorbent substrates such as cement screed or calcium sulphate (flowing) screed, the substrate can be pre-coated with Bakit PV-Universal to bind micro dust.

A system structure must be ensured.

Open the container and remove the film as well as any hardened adhesive. Apply Bakit HPK with the appropriate notched trowel onto the substrate. Only apply the amount of adhesive that can be installed with parquet in 30 minutes. Push in the parquet, align and tap firmly; ensure that the entire surface is wetted. Remove adhesive residues on floor surfaces immediately with Bakit RT wipes.

For smooth-edged parquet elements, ensure that the entire surface is wetted.

Opened quantities of adhesive in the bucket should be covered with film for storage to minimise the reaction of the adhesive. Please follow flooring manufacturer installation instructions.
